Students (grades K-12)

Provides educational scholarships to children from ages 5-18 to assist with tuition for school from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Assists special needs children under the age of 21 with a physical disability )such as, but not limited to, spina bifida, paralysis, missing limbs) or illness (such as, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer).

Families who wish to receive assistance must complete an application and submit required supporting documents. There is a $50,000 maximum annual income threshold.

Provides grants for life-changing equipment, medical supplies, essential family bills, specialized camps, and therapeutic toys. $500 maximum one-time grant allowance per recipient family. Funds are awarded on a case by case basis.

Provides objective and credible information, advocacy and research for diabetes. Website offers education, legal rights, health insurance, tips for caregivers, etc. Provides camps for children with Type I diabetes and with or at risk of developing Type II diabetes.

Provides programs to improve the lives of those affected by Duchenne. Provides free education, workshops, and webinars. Provides a web locator for certified therapy services.

Improves lives in the Glut1 Deficiency community through its mission of:

Ending neurofibromatosis through research. Patient Engagement program, meaning the inclusion of patient representatives in NF research, and the view that people with NF are not just subjects, but are health care consumers who have a role in managing their care, directing their health outcomes, and accelerating therapies for the entire NF community. A NF Clinic Network by state. Provides a registry for all types of NF (including NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis).

NF Camp is the annual summer camp of the Children's Tumor Foundation, dedicated to teens and young adults living with neurofibromatosis (NF). For over 20 years we have hosted this week-long experience for teens and young adults ages 12 to 25. NF Camp takes place on the third or fourth week of July (6 nights/6 days) in Salt Lake City, Utah. Provides support and connections in the myotonic dystrophy community, resources, advocacy, and research toward treatments and a cure.

Provides support and resources to improve the lives of people with tuberous sclerosis complex (TCS). Website identifies TSC Clinics, a TSC Clinic Screening Tool, and a locator for local resources. Conducts research on cerebral palsy.

Dedicated to raising awareness for 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome while connecting, supporting and offering accurate information to families affected by the disorder. Provides a locator map for family connections, support groups and clinics.

Teens and young adults ages 12 to 25 living with neurofibromatosis

Provides a camp is for children and teens with Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along various types of nerves. Campers come from all over the United States, Canada, and the world. During these weeks, they are able to interact with others who have the same condition, and learn more about themselves and others while enjoying everything that Camp K has to offer.

NF Camp takes place on the third or fourth week of July (6 nights/6 days) at Camp Kostopulos in Utah. Details and application on Children's Tumor Foundation website.

SRCLP Clinics accept preschool children who have difficulty speaking or understanding the spoken word or school-age children who have difficulty learning to read. 

Inquiries on age groups and program offerings in specific areas should be addressed to the director of the local Scottish Rite facility. 

Provides programs to help children with speech and language disorders. Each facility is staffed by speech-language pathologists or other trained personnel. All services are available regardless of race, creed, or the family’s inability to pay.

Patients who are seriously ill or frail

Helps patients get the medical treatments they want, and avoid the medical treatments they do not want, when they are seriously ill or frail. The POLST form is a medical order emergency personnel can follow whenever, and wherever, the patient has a medical emergency and can't speak for himself/herself.

Provides a resource for the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) community, and committed to the prevention of prenatal exposure to alcohol, drugs, and other substances known to harm fetal development, and to supporting individuals, families, and communities living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) and other preventable intellectual/ developmental disabilities.

People with disabilities, their parents, teachers, and other professionals

Provides support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers and other professionals with cutting edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a comprehensive network of resources.

Application, background check, and interview process. Wait times is 3-4 years.  No fee for trained dogs.

Provides full public access service dogs for the following:

• Individuals with mobility challenges from muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries and other issues
• Veterans and active-duty military to mitigate service-related physical injuries, as well as post-traumatic stress (PTS) and/or traumatic brain injury
• Children and teens between the ages of 5 and 18 on the autism spectrum or with other neurocognitive disabilities
