Description: Programs that are licensed to provide supervised care within designated facilities for children during some portion of a 24-hour day. Staff for approved day care centers must meet defined educational requirements; the program must ensure specified adult/child ratios; and the facility must meet building, fire and zoning codes. Eligibility: Friday's Kids accepts families based on their access to other resources and the overall stress level of the family. To qualify for the program, families can not be currently receiving services from the Division of Services for People with Disabilities, the Autism Medicaid Waiver or other source of Respite services. Once a family receives respite services through another organization or program,they no longer qualify for the Friday's Kids Program.
