Screening and Prevention

The Screening and Prevention section, still being developed, aims to provide information and resources to enable physicians to:
  • Understand available screening tools and tests
  • Effectively screen for inborn and acquired conditions
  • Appropriately intervene when screening uncovers a problem or risk
  • Recognize the populations and identify patients at-risk for preventable conditions
  • Initiate and monitor preventive interventions for at-risk patients
  • Collaborate with community agencies and other professionals in screening and prevention measures

Specific topics in Screening and Prevention can be found in the menu bar on the left and in the Portal's Newborn Disorders Section.
Please click on the Feedback button at the top of the page to let us know what Screening and Prevention issues you are most interested in so that we can prioritize them as we continue to develop new content for the Portal.
