Services Provided: Early Childhood Education - Ensuring children enrolled in Head Start begin school ready to learn is a program goal. Social Services - Provides enrollment to eligible children and achieves parent participation in the center, home program, and related activities. Assists the family in its own efforts to improve the condition and quality of family life.
Parent Involvement - Provides a program that recognizes parents as the prime educators of their children. As contributors to the Head Start program, they are involved in the decision making process of the program. Their participation in the classroom and the other activities increases self-confidence and family involvement.
Full Day Care - In addition to the traditional 1/2 day Head Start Preschool, Salt Lake CAP Head Start provides high quality, extended full-day childcare for working families. Daily rates for this service are very low; tuition costs may be aided by State Child Care Assistance administered by the Department of Workforce Services (DWS).
Certified application counselors are trained to help current patients and any community resident make informed decisions about available healthcare coverage options. They can recommend private health insurance plans available through the Marketplace (Obamacare), or help determine eligibility for government assistance programs like Medicaid, PCN (Primary Care Network), or CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program).
