Help America Hear Program

Organization Name: The Foundation for Sight and Sound
Services Provided: Provides hearing aids for men, women, and children with limited financial resources. The manufacturer suggested retail cost averages from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00 per hearing aid. The cost of hearing aids is not fully covered by most insurance (including Medicaid) and Medicare doesn’t cover them at all. The Help America Hear Program works in partnership with manufacturers and providers.
With this program, each person receives: two hearing aids, custom ear molds and one year limited service. After an application fee (see Tier I and II below) the only expenses are the cost of the hearing evaluation and batteries. These costs are not paid to HAH.
