Eligibility: Person must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, and a resident of the State of Utah. A person may be eligible for services if they have qualifying disabilities in one of these four areas: Intellectual Disabilities or Related Conditions; Acquired Brain Injury (ABI); Physical Disabilities (adults with the functional limitation of 2 limbs); or Autism. Eligibility for the Autism Waiver pilot program is determined by the child’s age, and the child’s diagnosis. Children between the ages of two and six are eligible, through the last day of the month in which they turn seven. A child must have a diagnosis of either Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified, Aspergers Syndrome, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, and be diagnosed by a professional.
Services Provided: The Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) serves children and adults who have intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, brain injuries, and autism. Services are uniquely tailored to each person and family and are designed to allow persons with disabilities to lead self-determined lives and be full participants in their communities.

Services which DSPD may be able to provide include:
Respite Care
Service Brokering
Family Skill Building and Preservation Classes
Supported Employment, Supported Living and Transportation Services.
Provider Profiles: There is a waiting list dependent on funding by the State Legislature.
