Programs that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services on an inpatient or outpatient basis for individuals who have epilepsy (also known as "seizure disorders"). Specialized epilepsy centers provide routine care to individuals with seizures or epilepsy and comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals with uncontrolled seizures (intractable or refractory epilepsy).
