STAR provides customized plan of action to empower students to make a successful transition from school to adult living.

STEPS is a transition program serving students with disabilities between the ages of 18 - 22 and have completed their senior year in high school or not completed graduation requirements. Instruction is focused on the following: Career exploration and vocational training, Functional academics and adult daily living skills. Community participation and recreation/leisure activities. Expected behavior and age appropriate social skills.

STRIDE is the most restrictive setting in the Davis Special Education continuum under IDEA. It serves students from 9th grade to 12+ until age 22. STRIDE's purpose is to help individual students learn the skills needed to return to their home school.

Services Provided: The Kauri Sue Hamilton School is a center-based school for students with significant disabilities. Students ages 5-22 receive a comprehensive educational program and benefit from specially trained staff and services including music, speech, occupational and physical therapy and adaptive P.E. The facility includes a therapy swimming pool, two playgrounds, two multi-sensory environment rooms, therapy treatment rooms, a health clinic, 18 classrooms and a cafeteria and gymnasium.
