Services Provided: Family Resource Facilitators (FRFs) are trained family members who develop working partnerships with the Community Mental Health Center staff to represent family voice at service delivery, administration and policy levels. They provide referrals to local resources and programs; advocacy for culturally appropriate services; links to information and support groups; and family wraparound facilitation. These services increase family involvement at all levels and improve outcomes for families.
Family Resource Facilitator Mentorship includes:
• ½ day orientation
• 2 days family leadership training
• 3 days wraparound facilitation training
• Weekly phone calls
• 1 on-site visit monthly

Eligibility: For Utah families with a child or youth with a physical, mental or developmental special need. Anyone can access the materials on the website.
Services Provided: Staffed by parents of children with special health care needs, UFV offers statewide assistance in a variety of ways: providing emotional and peer support through direct contact by phone, email and/or in person to families, assisting with navigation of credible information and referrals so families can access the appropriate public and private resources and services, presenting customized training and workshops for families and professionals on a variety of topics; and providing information and training to professional partners and health care providers on family-centered care and family involvement.
