1. Employment Services - services to employers and job seekers.
a. Computer access to jobs.utah.gov, careers.utah.gov, Utah's Job Bank, America's Job Bank, Career Exploration Guide, resume preparation tools, labor market information, etc. b. Job search assistance and referral. c. Veterans' job search assistance and training services. d. Job skills workshops. e. Skills testing. f. Career/occupational counseling. g. Connection to educational opportunities. h. Vocational assessment. i. Vocational/educational job training opportunities - Workforce Investment Act (WIA) training services for adult, youth, and dislocated worker, as well as on-the-job training, North American Free Trade Act (NAFTA) assistance/Trade Act assistance, and Utah Displaced Homemaker services. j. Job placement. k. Pre-screening of applicants for employers. l. Rapid response and pre-layoff intervention services. 2. Support Services a. Financial Assistance - cash assistance to qualified low-income families/disabled individuals through Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), Emergency Assistance (EA), Specified Relative, Repatriation, and Refugee Resettlement services. b. Food Stamps c. Child Care Assistance - provides a subsidy for the cost of childcare for qualified parents. d. Medical Assistance - determines eligibility for Medicaid, PCN, and CHIP when a case is open with the Department of Workforce Services (Otherwise see the Bureau of Eligibility Services). 3.
