1. Diversity Training - education/awareness about diversity in the workplace. Participants become more aware about what they think and how they feel about diversity issues in the workplace.
2. Anytown - a one week opportunity, during the summer, for youth grades 10-12 to come together with youth of different racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds to explore individual attitudes, increase respect for differences, and celebrate commonalities. 3. Mini-Anytown - an outside the classroom experiential workshop in leadership skills, decision making, getting along with others, prejudice reduction, gender understanding, and self esteem. Workshops provided for faculty, students, and community organizations. 4. Green Circle - a prejudice reduction program for elementary age youth. Students learn a respect for and understanding of our diverse world. 5. Interfaith Thanksgiving Service - annual gathering of representatives from different religious and cultural backgrounds to celebrate as one congregation. Foods and funds are collected to help provide Thanksgiving for families in need. 6. National Voices for an Inclusive 21st Century - organizations and individuals discussing divisive issues such as problems of race, gender, and class. 7. Unitown - an offshoot of the Anytown Program. Addresses intergroup relations with one or two high schools at a time. 8. Globaltown - middle and junior high students come together to explore options for living successfully in an increasingly diverse world. 9. Advocacy - advocates public policy that reflects understanding and respect including support of hate crimes legislation and opposition to English as the official language. 10. Building Bridges - a junior high/middle school program designed as a full one day training, engages students in diversity issues at school, community, and life in general. 11. "Walk As One" Walk-athon - a community event that brings together Utah's diverse population to raise money to support ICCJ's non-profit programs that benefit youth in Utah's schools. |
