2. First generation adult and child literacy programs (refugees/asylees). a. Adult classes with open enrollment for ESL on Mon. - Thurs., 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. b. More Blue Sky Center - a computer and art gathering space. Resume and computer assistance provided Mon. - Thurs., 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Open to asylees/refugees and public. c. Children's art and science classes. Open to Edison Elementary (Salt Lake City School District) students. Green Waters Healing Center - offers affordable health care with Migun acupressure, heat and massage and health classes, Sign Chi Do, Stretch and Pray, Tai Chi, Reiki, and belly dancing. Healing from trauma and grief support groups. 5. Elder House Phase II offers 50+ Living and Intentional Independent senior living at six-resident dwelling with live-in University of Utah gerontology student. 6. Worlds of Art Shoppe features fair trade for local artists at Mill Square Building, 1800 South West Temple, Suite 305, Salt Lake City. 7. Lutheran disaster response site for long-term recovery. 8. Cross-cultural education trip to Rocky Boy Indian Reservation. Annual event every third week of September. |
