1. Promote employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
2. Advise the State Board of Education and the Governor on issues that affect employment. 3. Advocate full and equal rights for individuals with disabilities. 4. Support individuals with disabilities who are preparing for or seeking employment. 5. Educate the public through information and public relations. 6. Recognize exemplary contributions in the areas of employment, job placement, rehabilitation, training, support services, medicine, and public relations. 7. Recognize personal achievements made by individuals with disabilities. 8. Provide training, support, and technical assistance to employers. |
