Services Provided: 1. Offers a full array of treatment and assessment services based on best practice and innovative breakthroughs in child care.
2. Serves as a liaison between state services and at-risk children and families, providing comprehensive assessment of children's emotional, mental, physical, and educational needs, proper placement, and support for family reunification when appropriate.
3. Operates under the philosophy that children, in the absence of a safe home, are best nurtured and served by a compassionate community.
4. Accesses state-of-the-art services, housed under one roof, for efficient and enhanced levels of mental health care, in collaboration with mental health professionals, medical personnel, police, advocacy groups, and other community organizations.
5. Integrates a caring community into the lives of abused and neglected children by providing volunteer opportunities to people who would like to help children in some meaningful way.
Eligibility: For children 0 to 18 years old, who have been taken into protective custody by the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) or who are in need of foster care placement.
