Services Provided: 1. Residential Services - individualized support for people to live in apartments and group homes ranging in size from one to six residents. These programs focus on home maintenance, cooking, grooming, personal finances, shopping and community involvement through sports and recreation, transportation training, cultural events, and continuing education.
2. Community Supported Living - people in this program live in their own apartments or homes and simply need to refine their independent living skills and social skills.
3. Supported Employment - job development, job placement, and intensive on-the-job training for adults with disabilities.
4. Day Training Services - opportunities for people to learn job skills, increase productivity, use community resources, participate in community services through volunteer and paid work, and increase social and practical living skills.
5. Other - TURN helps people with problem-solving, stress management, and reaching for personal goals. TURN also provides host-home services, senior supports, and assistance with criminal justice issues facing people with developmental disabilities.
6. Family Support and Respite Services - in-home and group services for children with disabilities to provide parents with relief from day-to-day caregiving responsibilities and to provide children with fun and enriching activities.
Eligibility: Developmental disabilities. Most people served by TURN meet the eligibility requirements of the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD).
