Services Provided: 1. Pre-school (nursery) - full time, five days per week, ages two through five years. Children must be toilet trained. Developmentally appropriate curriculum.
2. Before and After School Program - transportation to and from area schools (kindergarten to sixth grade), full-time care when year-round schools are off track, recreation, food experiences, field trips, etc.
3. Children's Treatment Program - in cooperation with The Children's Center. Consulting therapist, psychological evaluations, treatment program, and staff training.
4. S.O.A.R. (Summer Outdoor Activities and Recreation) - ten to twelve years old - outdoor experiences, camping, rock climbing, art, bike riding, horseback riding, etc.
5. Prevention programs - gang prevention, social skills groups, drug and alcohol prevention, and self-esteem building.
6. Extended day kindergarten - transportation to and from area schools, age-appropriate activities.
7. Intergenerational programs - children and senior clients from Neighborhood House participate together in activities designed to build rapport and positive attitudes.
8. Screening/testing - speech, hearing, and vision.
9. Summer day camp - full time recreational program with a wide variety of activities.
Eligibility: Children must be between the ages of 2-12.
