Services Provided: 1. Home Repair & Maintenance - provides minor household repairs, appliance repair, and interior/exterior painting for low income senior citizens and disabled homeowners. Must have income at or below $1,788 per month for 1 person or $2,046 per month for 2 persons, be 60+ years old or disabled.
2. Nutrition Assistance Project - provides supplemental food boxes that are delivered by caring volunteers to low income, home-bound senior citizens and people with disabilities. Must have income at or below $1,225 per month for 1 person or $1,650 per month for 2 persons, be 60+ years old or disabled, unable to easily access food, no access to a vehicle, and no able bodied persons living in the home.
3. Friends Program - provides relief from isolation and loneliness. Volunteers are matched with frail, isolated, elderly and disabled people, providing weekly friendly visiting and telephone reassurance. Must be 60+ years old or disabled, living alone, no access to a vehicle, and limited social support.
4. Chore Services - lawn care, yard clean up (spring and fall), snow shoveling for Salt Lake County residents over the age of 60.
5. Prescription Assistance - helping older and disabled persons who are unable to pay for prescriptions access the free drug assistance programs provided by the pharmaceutical companies. Must have income at or below $1,633 per month for 1 person or $2,200 per month for 2 persons, be 60+ years old or disabled, and have no access to any prescription drug coverage.
