Services Provided: 1. Emergency Services - crisis intervention (housing, food, utilities, etc.), information and referral, operation of six CAP neighborhood offices. HEAT Program.
2. Housing Outreach Rental Program (see separate listing).
3. HUD Counseling - mortgage foreclosure prevention, home pre-purchase counseling, intervention services for mortgage insurance problems, information and referral. Reverse equity mortgage counseling (for seniors).
4. Homeless Services - case management service for homeless persons, rental financial assistance to select homeless persons who are enrolled in case management, job placement, and employment coaching and counseling.
5. Advocacy efforts on issues and programs that have a direct bearing on the lives of low income people.
6. Employment Services - job development in the public and private sector, job placement of Workforce Services clients, employment coaching and counseling.
7. Head Start (see separate listing).
8. Weatherization - energy conservation work on homes of low income renters and homeowners (e.g. insulation, caulking, weatherstripping, storm windows, and furnace tune-up).
9. Landlord/Tenant Mediation Program - helps resolve conflicts and answer questions between landlords and tenants in areas such as security deposits, eviction attempts, lease issues, repairs, etc.
