Services Provided: 1. Head Start - serves children (ages birth to 5 years) of mobile, migrant, farmworking, and low-income families.
2. Nuevo Dia - a life-skills, substance abuse prevention program that targets Salt Lake County Latino youth ages 9-12 and their parents.
3. Family Literacy - this model functions within Head Start and Nuevo Dia to develop literacy skills as the foundation of self-sufficiency.
4. Volunteers Importante Program (VIP)- opportunities for bilingual/bicultural volunteers to assist in the above programs.
5. Community Learning Centers - identifies 14 schools that would benefit from technical assistance and selects 4 schools to receive more targeted assistance.
