| Services Provided: |
1. Provide cab coupon books to blind and visually impaired individuals at half the price in cities throughout the state.
2. Pay mileage to drivers for blind members under guided transportation program. 3. Subsidize payment of readers for members. 4. Provide scholarships for qualified blind students. 5. Maintain an informational WATS line, The Utah Connection (1-800-273-4569) and a monthly publication in accessible formats. 6. Provide monthly social, recreational, and educational activities for members and any other interested parties. 7. Act as advocates for individual members and the blind and visually impaired population in general. Educate members and interested others in the advocacy process. 8. Provide weekly ceramics classes in Salt Lake City. 9. Provide volunteer referral service to those desiring it. 10. Provide information and referral services as requested, and provide speakers and presenters when desired. 11. Car donations accepted. |
