Funding Challenges

Families may face financial challenges that can be overwhelming as they support and care for their child with special health care needs. Some costs come from not having affordable access to health insurance, while others can come from out-of-pocket costs such as the co-payments, therapies, specialized equipment, respite, and adaptations to the home, just to name a few. There are financial assistance programs available throughout the community, state, and nation.
